ER Card

The APA ER Card is a card that covers you for the first 48 hours of a HEALTH Emergency.  We understand that the first 48 hours are the most crucial and with the need for immediate hospitalisation arising, you will be covered within the first crucial 48 hours, giving your family and friends time to organize themselves if need be for further stay and treatment in the hospital.

The 48-hour financial relief ER card gives you will also be an opportunity for you to set up alternate arrangements to cater for costs after the insured period.

  • Cost incurred due to pregnancy related conditions.
  • Costs incurred as a result of self inflicted injuries (e.g. .drug or alcohol)
  • Expenses in connection with congenital defects
  • Costs incurred as a result of deliberate exposure to exceptional danger.   

How can I become an ER holder ?

Fill in a proposal form. Attach the following and send to APA office together with payments:

(a)  Two passport photographs

(b) Copy of the member’s national Identification Card or Passport (for adults) 

Once the application is accepted the insured receives an acceptance letter and his member Photo-ID card.
